Screaming Symphony plays Progressive and Power Metal which, at its most basic, is heavy metal with clean vocals. Alongside Progressive and Power metal we play Traditional, Neo-classical, Goth, Epic, Symphonic, New Wave of British Heavy Metal, Folk and Speed metal.

The big name old-school bands of the genres include Helloween (Germany), Dream Theater (USA), Queensryche (USA), Blind Guardian (Germany) Iron Maiden (UK), Manowar (USA) and Judas Priest (UK).

With two presenters, we review albums no matter how bad or good they are.  

This isn’t a show that plays all the best material from a band – we don’t want you to buy CDs based on false reviews or comments. If an album is good – we’ll tell you. If it’s bad, you’ll hear that too. Specifically when we play a new album we like to play tracks that most closely represent the album as a whole.

 We love playing the big name bands but it’s the smaller, independent or lesser known bands that help push the genres forward. If you know of bands we haven’t played before then get on to us about it.

 Australian content is very important. We have many talented local bands out there that deserve your attention. Support local metal.
