Frequently Asked Questions

Question:
How do I find out more about music played on a program?

Answer:

  1. Go to the Program Guide
  2. Find the program that matches the day/time
  3. Follow the link to the program page
  4. Click the 'Playlists' tab
  5. If you can't find the playlist or the details you need, use the email link to contact the announcer directly, and give as much info as you can to help them answer your enquiry.

Question:
How can I speak to an announcer?

Answer:
Call PBS during the program, and wait for music break. Since broadcasting involves multi-tasking and concentration, announcers may be not able to accommodate a long conversation.

Question:
How do I get my gig plugged on PBS?

Answer:
Due to the diversity of programming, PBS does not have one standard gig guide. However, some PBS announcers maintain their own. Find the program most suited to your music and email the announcer directly using the contact details on the program page. It is essential that you know that PBS is unable to guarantee that announcers will plug your gig.

Question:

Answer:

How do I volunteer at PBS?

Answer:
See our page about volunteering.
